I am an Associate Professor in the Strategy Department at IE Business School. I study the interplay between companies and their political and social environments, particularly in challenging institutional contexts. My research has examined firm strategy in connection to a broad range of topics including political risk, firm location, divestitures, populism, international investment agreements, political capabilities and corporate social responsibility.
My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals in management and political science including the American Journal of Political Science, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies, Strategic Management Journal and Strategy Science.
I teach masters and executive courses on strategy, international business, and political analysis. Prior to joining IE, I was a Globalization and Governance Fellow at the Niehaus Center, Princeton University. I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Ohio State University.
